| Celebrating St George
Westlea residents at John Watson House, Wootton Bassett, enjoyed a splendid celebration of St George’s Day, 23 April. Their communal lounge was brightly decorated with England flags, red and white balloons, and beverages with such patriotic labels as London Pride, Old English Mead, and Elderflower Cordial. A traditional meal of Olde English sausages (each with a St George’s flag), mash, and mushy peas was followed by treacle sponge or spotted dick, with custard. Staff waited on residents,
one of whom was dressed as St George.
