'No Barriers' event for December 3

 
 


Westlea Housing and North Wiltshire District Council (NWDC) are arranging an event at the Neeld Hall in Chippenham to commemorate 'No Barriers Day' on 3rd December.

The event (part of a series of events coordinated by Wiltshire County Council) will be used to:

• raise awareness of the barriers in society faced by people with disabilities;
• share information regarding services available for people with disabilities in North Wiltshire;
• gain feedback on Westlea's Disability Equality Statement (DES);
• launch Westlea's Older Persons' Support Service; and
• promote disabled people as positive role models.

So please come along on Wednesday 3rd December 2008, 10am–3pm at the Neeld Hall, Chippenham

On the day we will have:

• Free tea and coffee
• Information stalls
• An area for DVDs to be shown
• A photography exhibition by Ali Pearce
• A questionnaire requesting feedback on our DES, which will allow respondents to enter into a free prize draw, with prizes donated by local businesses.
