Injunction bans man from Cricklade properties

An antisocial behaviour injunction requested by Westlea Housing has been granted against local man James Wagner, meaning he is not permitted in or near any of Westlea's properties in Cricklade and faces arrest if he breaks the terms of the injunction.
"Swindon County Court granted the injunction due to a long list of ongoing antisocial behaviour which has included sleeping in the communal areas of Parsonage Farm Close and Saxon Close, repeated threats against residents and even a assault, making life miserable and fearful for all affected. We hope the court injunction will make it clear to him that his behaviour must now change," said Sue Burnett from Westlea's antisocial behaviour team.
“This is a sad case involving an individual with a history of drug and alcohol problems, we always hope that problems can be worked out before court action is needed, but there comes a point when people must face the consequences of their actions."
"Westlea always takes antisocial behaviour seriously. And our robust approach for dealing with such complaints, designed in conjunction with residents, means we have a good track record of taking action with positive results. The on-going antisocial behaviour to our residents specifically and across Cricklade made this necessary and this injunction is a good result for Westlea and our partnership working with local Police, and, of course, for other residents in the town."
The injunction will last for a year and will be enforced by the local police force, including Sergeant Martin Alvis who has been working on the case.
"Working with our partner Westlea we have been very keen to restore normality to an area of Cricklade that has been blighted by a known individual for their inconsiderate antisocial behaviour nuisance," said Sergeant Alvis. "Through this key partnership, we have worked with the community and brought this offender to justice. It is hoped that this person will now reflect on their behaviour, and the community can once more go about their business without hindrance. The area neighborhood policing team are very grateful for the assistance of the residents and community of Cricklade together with Westlea for their continued support."
